Tasks / Responsibilities

• design of electromechanical and mechanical systems (mechanisms, robotic systems, structures, ground support equipment)

• structural and thermal FEA of parts and assemblies

• creation of design documentation, including 2D drawings of mechanical parts

• MAIT engineering of space systems and ground support equipment

• conducting trade-offs and procurement of actuators, sensors, etc.

Required

• mechanical/structural/aerospace engineering background

• experience with mechanism design

• good knowledge of CAD systems (knowledge of Autodesk Inventor will be considered an advantage)

• ability to conduct FEA independently, including the creation of the model and post-processing (preferred system: Inventor Nastran)

• good knowledge of physics in the context of space engineering (structural mechanics, vibration, heat transfer, etc.)

• good knowledge of space industry standards, in particular those referring to design, assembly, integration and testing

• proficient use of English (speaking and writing)

• team player

• legal authorization to work in the EU (Italy, Netherlands)
