ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What are we looking for?

We are now seeking a highly motivated and experienced PR & External Communications Lead to join our global marketing and communications team, reporting to the VP of Marketing & Communications. As the PR & External Communications Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s external communications strategies and implementing impactful PR programs that drive the company’s brand awareness, support business development activities, and protect the reputation of the company.

This position requires an experienced public relations and communications specialist to both plan and implement the external communications strategy and hands-on activities in this domain, as well as leverage internal spokespeople and external audiences, including customers, media, stakeholders, and business partners, for the highest possible impact.

About the role?

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute PR and external communications strategy and plan, and related high-visibility media & communications outreach programs in line with ICEYE’s business objectives.
• Develop and drive the ICEYE storyline creation, promoting our company strategy, vision, products & solutions, and the value those bring to our customers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive coverage for ICEYE..
• Write and edit press announcements and media pitches, briefing documents and other communication materials.
• Organize and execute press events, interviews, and media relations in collaboration with our press agencies and relevant stakeholders, including day-to-day press inquiries.
• Manage spokespeople training and provide support to our spokespeople executing successful communications and media relations. Oversee executive profiling.
• Collaborate with the marketing team and internal communications to ensure that PR and external communications activities align with broader marketing and communications strategies.
• Manage and track PR and external communications metrics to evaluate the success of communication initiatives and inform future activities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of international PR and communications experience (agency and/or in-house).
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful PR and external communications programs, including US & international media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced growth environment.
• Fluency in Business English.
• Flexible, positive attitude with entrepreneurial hands-on drive and spirit.
