What do we do?
ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.
What challenges you will help us solve
As we continue to expand our portfolio of internal and external software services, serving a wide range of purposes from image ordering and order tracking to data processing and constellation optimization, we recognize the importance of enhancing the capabilities of our Software Security team to protect sensitive data, ensure system availability and resilience, and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.

Your responsibilities as Software Security engineer include:
- Collaborate closely with development teams to design and develop secure software applications.
- Conduct security assessments and code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and potential risks.
- Provide guidance to development teams on secure coding practices, security testing, and threat modelling.
- Develop and maintain DevSecOps practices to build a secure platform in accordance with industry best practices.
- Implement security controls and technologies to protect against potential threats.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of security controls and technologies and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices and provide recommendations to improve our security posture.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software architecture, including microservices, and design principles.
- Demonstrated experience in security testing, code review, and secure coding practices and techniques.
- Solid understanding of common software vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, threat modelling, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience with DevOps and Agile development methodologies, with a focus on integrating security into these processes using automation tools and deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of Go or Python programming languages.
