Tasks/ Responsibilities

  • structural analysis of spacecraft mechanisms

  • review of mechanical system designs

  • planning, preparation, and execution of mechanical and structural tests

  • active participation in development of spacecraft mechanisms

Required

  • mechanical/structural/aerospace engineering background

  • proficiency in using FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran, Siemens Femap)

  • experience in solving FEM problems (preferably modal and vibration analysis in space-related projects)

  • proficiency in using CAD software (knowledge of Autodesk Inventor will be considered an advantage)

  • clear understanding of structural engineering and machine design, with emphasis on classical theory of strength of materials and mechanics of vibration

  • proficient use of English (speaking and writing)

  • team player

  • legal authorization to work in the EU (Italy, Netherlands)
